How we think about the work
Appearance and performance belong in the same plan
A driveway or patio can look simple once finished, but it must connect several systems: supporting ground, edges, rainwater, thresholds, access and the visible surface. We consider those relationships together because correcting them later is more disruptive than planning them at the start.
Material choice still matters. Block paving offers modular repair and pattern; tarmac provides a clean continuous surface; resin gives a decorative aggregate finish; stone and porcelain create different patio character. The right answer depends on what the site asks of the material.
Where existing construction remains serviceable, repair may preserve materials and reduce waste. Where movement or drainage is widespread, a deeper rebuild can offer better value than repeated cosmetic treatment.
